Folio privacy policy

This policy describes Folio Cards by DOOMERS, our native iPhone and iPad collection app. Effective November 2, 2026.

Who operates Folio

Folio is developed and operated by DOOMERS LLC in Florida, United States. Contact hello@doomersllc.com for privacy questions or requests. This app policy is separate from our company website notice.

Your collection stays on your device

Your card inventory, printing selections, purchase costs, notes, grading and certificate details, wishlist, binders, deck drafts, imported CSV files, price observations, market watches, alert settings, private card photos, artist attributions and custom card details are saved in the app’s local files. Folio does not require an account and has no company collection cloud or collection sync service. Entering or importing a collection does not upload the collection to DOOMERS LLC.

Folio reads a file when you select it with Apple’s file picker. You choose where to export or share your full JSON backup or inventory CSV. The full backup can contain original imported rows, unresolved entries, private card photos and provenance notes, so check it before sharing. Apple device or iCloud backups may include app files according to your Apple settings.

Your own photos, camera and custom cards

You may choose a picture with Apple’s photo picker or grant camera access to photograph a card. Folio reads only the photo you choose or take. Text recognition runs on your device to suggest possible catalog matches; it does not upload your photo to an AI service or authenticate a card. Your confirmation is required before a suggested card is added. You can instead save an unlisted, artist, unofficial, hand drawn or altered card with your own details.

Folio saves a resized JPEG reference image in your local collection and full JSON backups, rather than retaining the original full resolution image. Keep your original separately. Photos and artist or provenance details are not submitted to a shared public database. Removing a saved photo removes it from the current collection; undo history, recovery files and older exported backups may retain previous copies. The beta limits saved reference photos to 20 MB total and full JSON backups to 50 MB. Camera access is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings; manual entry remains available.

Card artwork and catalog requests

Folio loads stock card artwork from the image hosts listed in its source catalogs, including TCGdex, Pokémon TCG API image hosting and One Piece source artwork hosts. Requesting Pokémon printing details contacts TCGdex. The providers receive the requested public card or image identifier and ordinary connection information, such as IP address and request time. Folio does not send your purchase costs, private notes or grading certificate numbers with those requests.

These are independent services with their own terms and privacy practices. You can organize locally saved records without making an optional printing or price request; artwork or new online details may be unavailable offline.

Optional market prices

When you enable market data and select a product, Folio contacts the DOOMERS LLC price service with the public marketplace category, set and product identifiers needed for the lookup. The service returns cached public TCGplayer market estimates supplied through TCGCSV. It does not receive your complete inventory, quantities, purchase costs, notes or certificate numbers. Your selected mappings and recorded price history stay on the device.

The price service stores public product and market snapshots. It has no user account database or advertising identifier. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, requested URLs, user agents, timestamps and security or error information to deliver and protect the service. We do not add an advertising or behavioral analytics system. Market data is updated daily when available and is not an individual completed sale or a valuation of a graded copy.

You can disable market data or remove a price watch in Prices. Disabling it stops Folio’s automatic price checks. Removing a watch removes its local history and alert records from the current collection; older exported backups or a retained recovery file may still contain them.

Price alerts and background activity

Price change alerts are optional. Thresholds and price comparisons are processed on the device. Folio asks for Apple notification permission only when you choose to enable notifications. Notifications are generated locally; Folio does not register a remote push token with a company notification server.

Background price checks are optional and depend on iOS scheduling, connectivity and Background App Refresh settings. They do not guarantee a check or notification at a particular overnight time. You can switch off checks in Folio and notifications in iOS Settings. Disabling notifications does not block collection features.

External links, TestFlight and support

Opening an eBay sold search, TCGplayer product page or another comparison source takes you to that website. Its privacy and cookie rules apply. Folio does not log in to your marketplace account, place orders, accept payments or retrieve private marketplace account data. Apple operates TestFlight and may make beta diagnostics, crash reports and feedback available to us under Apple’s TestFlight controls and terms.

If you contact support, we receive the contact details, message and attachments you choose to send. The company email address uses email forwarding and Gmail to handle correspondence. We use that information to answer the request, investigate problems and maintain necessary support records. We retain it for as long as needed for those purposes or applicable recordkeeping obligations, and you can request access, correction or deletion at hello@doomersllc.com. Please send a small redacted example rather than private certificates, passwords or an entire collection.

Retention and deletion

Local collection data remains until you remove records, restore a different collection or delete the app. A restore or CSV import can retain the prior collection file locally for recovery; a later restore or import replaces that retained copy. Undo history may also retain earlier records during the current session. Removing the app, rather than offloading it, removes its local app data, subject to Apple backup behavior.

Files you exported, shared or backed up elsewhere must be deleted from those locations separately. We cannot restore or remotely delete collection files that exist only on your device. For help deleting local data or requesting deletion of support correspondence, contact hello@doomersllc.com.

Other data and changes

The current app has no advertising SDK, third party analytics SDK, tracking across other companies’ apps, location collection, address book access or payment integration. We do not sell your personal information. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13; contact us if a child has sent information to support.

We will update this page when Folio’s data handling changes. Check the effective date above. If a future feature needs a new permission or materially changes data use, we will provide the relevant notice and controls before that use.
